James is the joint portfolio manager of Law Debenture, alongside Laura Foll. He has been involved in the management of Law Debenture’s portfolio since 1994. He is employed by Janus Henderson Investors and also manages their funds Lowland Investment Company plc and Henderson Opportunities Trust plc. James is very much a value driven fund manager and seeks out opportunities among large, medium and small companies where he believes that stocks are trading more cheaply than they should, based on management’s performance and the prospects for the company.

Charles Nelson brings more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on investment banking. He spent over two decades at Macquarie Securities Group London where, as senior managing director, he led equity sales teams and European equity syndication. Currently, Mr Nelson is a consultant advisor for business development at Sodali & Co, the global consultancy specialising in shareholder services, corporate governance and capital markets transactions.

Adhiraj Maitra (BSc, MSc, Actuary) is the Chief Operating Officer at Helios, with responsibilities that span the capacity portfolio, capital management and operations. He has over 18 years of experience in insurance and the Lloyd’s market, across a breadth of technical and leadership roles. He has worked for a number of organisations within the London Market, including Canopius, WTW and Lloyd’s of London, his roles spanning consulting and strategic solutions for businesses across underwriting, governance, ESG, risk management, exposure management and capital modelling.
