Reasons to attend

Investment trusts offer a cheap and reliable way to invest in a wide variety of exciting assets, from stocks and shares to space technology, commercial property, clean energy infrastructure and private equity. With discounts still historically wide, now could be an ideal time to snap up some bargain trusts to add some zing to your portfolio.

  • Diversify your holdings
Investment trusts are a type of collective investment, allowing you to spread risk across dozens of different companies. Your investment is pooled together with others and run by a professional investment manager.
  • Gain exposure to investments you couldn’t access on your own
Because of their unique structure, investment trusts offer easy access to hard-to-sell investments, such as commercial property, infrastructure projects or private companies.
  • Benefit from a steadily growing income

Investment trusts are renowned for their ability to generate a reliable and growing income over the long term. They have the ability to retain income generated in good years to pay out in leaner ones. They can even boost dividend payments from capital profits, helping to smooth out payments to investors and making them a vital resource for income seekers. Some of our member trusts have provided a growing income for more than 50 consecutive years. For details, see the Dividend Heroes section of the AIC website. Seats at the Investment Trust Forum are limited and delegates are requested to please reserve a seat in advance at point of registration. Entry is complimentary and included with your entry ticket to the London Investor Show.
