Mike started out his career as a chartered accountant working with PricewaterhouseCoopers until 1999. Mike was, however, drawn to Stanley Gibbons because of an innate love of collecting, joining as Finance Director at the age of 29. Mike was appointed CEO of Stanley Gibbons in 2003 and led the business from a market capitalisation of £2.5 million to a peak of £150 million. During his time at Stanley Gibbons, Mike managed the purchase and sale of some of the largest and most famous collections in the world, including the most famous British stamp collection ever assembled (worth in excess of £10 million) and sales from the The British Postal Museum & Archive. Mike left Stanley Gibbons in 2015 to set up Just Collecting as founder and CEO. Over the past 23 years, Mike has specialised in advising high net worth clients in building their investment portfolios.
